Cheryl Snapp Conner, founder and managing partner of Snapp Conner PR, has more than 26 years experience in public relations for individuals and organizations ranging from growth and start up organizations to Fortune 500 technology firms. Conner has led four successful PR agencies since 1989 and has been recognized as one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch. She is a popular columnist for Forbes.com Entrepreneurs and is also a contributor to the OpenView Labs publication for OpenView Partners and for Yahoo Finance. She is a trustee of the Utah Technology Council (UTC) and had directed the UTC Communications Committee since 2004.
Jeremy Kartchner, Partner at Snapp Conner PR has more than 10 years experience in both technology and sports PR. Kartchner has launched a variety of companies to market including, Silex Technology America, Bountiful WiFi, Family First Federal Credit Union and Broadcast International. Kartchner joined Snapp Conner PR from the Snapp Norris Group where he was PR Director. Prior experience includes PR consulting work for Digital Video Networks Inc., a technology start-up company based out of Salt Lake City as well as a PR Manager with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 where he coordinated Mitt Romney’s media briefings and oversaw all media aspects for a number of functions including the Olympic Village, the budget and finance department, transportation, and the weather forecasting functions.

Cory Maloy, Partner, is a veteran PR professional with more than 20 years experience developing public relations strategies for companies and executives in a variety of industries including technology, insurance, healthcare, consumer, banking and finance. He has guided the global public relations activities for companies such as Iomega Corporation, Maxtor, Travelers, MediConnect Global, ArtStamps, Nelson Laboratories, InsideSales.com, Interbank FX, Cobalt Networks (Sun), Plantronics, and silex Technology to name a few. He specializes in C-level communications coaching and counseling, long-term strategic PR program development, global PR expansion, investor relations communications, company and product launches, IPO communications, crisis communications, media training, and media relations and outreach.
Vic Conner holds a bachelor’s degree in business finance. Prior to becoming Snapp Conner PR’s Financial Director, he served as an Investment Consultant for Everen Securities and as a Financial Advisor at Prudential Securities. Most recently, he served as a Financial Coach for True North Academy in American Fork.
Kelly Wanlass has more than 18 years of proven success getting results for her clients in their respective markets, whether high-tech, software, security, online collaboration, webcasting, as well as food and health-related products such as gourmet food storage, green living and herbal supplements. Starting her career as a writer for The Associated Press, Kelly branched into PR at Applied Communications Corp., where she managed media relations for Oracle Corp. and Storage Technology Inc., focusing on placing (and often writing) various trend pieces and case studies on the success these companies brought their clients in publications such as Information Week, Computerworld, eWeek, Computer Reseller News, PC Magazine and C/Net. Over the past several years, Kelly has focused on getting visibility for technology start-ups and existing companies in the platform-as-a-service, social media and education industries, placing numerous articles in online publications such as TechCrunch, Mashable, ReadWriteWeb, VentureBeat, The Next Web and ZDNet. As an Account Executive, Jordan brings 18 years of experience to Snapp Conner PR and manages communications strategy, media relations, and content creation and placement for a variety of clients. Her background includes communications positions with the largest technology and consumer products companies in Utah County, as well as working with high technology, financial services and healthcare clients during a decade spent on the East Coast. She has had success with national and regional broadcast placements, including TODAY and The Dr. Oz Show, and with top national business and consumer print publications, such as Business Week, Fortune, Information Week, USA Today, The New York Times, People, InStyle and Marie Claire. In addition to media relations, Karpowitz brings talents in strategic communications planning, writing, messaging and branding. She is an alumnus of Brigham Young University.
Apollo Burgamy is a public affairs and communications professional with more than 8 years of experience in intercultural communication, media relations, crisis communication, photojournalism and community outreach. Prior to joining the Snapp Conner PR team, Burgamy worked as a public affairs officer for the U.S. Navy, where he developed and implemented communication strategies. Additionally, Burgamy facilitated large-scale media events in South Korea and arranged media embedding opportunities. He has worked with international news and production agencies such as ABC News, AFP, CNN, Discovery Channel, Fox News, Glamour Magazine, PBS Newshour, and Yonhap News among others. Burgamy holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communications and Media Studies from San Diego State University.

Kenny Caldwell brings nearly six years of public relations experience to the table for Snapp Conner PR. Caldwell has worked with a variety of technology and small business/entrepreneur focused clients. He has contributed to successful PR projects, programs and campaigns with Wilson Electronics, SmarterTools, Real Property Management, Lendio, Grow Utah Ventures, Grow America and Salt Lake Comic Con. Caldwell holds a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications from Utah State University.
Trina Brinkman, Director of Speaker Development for Snapp Conner PR, brings education, experience and talent to move her clients into the realm of Opinion Leader. Trina earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Brigham Young University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Utah. She has worked for AT&T, Kaplan Educational Ctrs., Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and as a consultant. For more than 3 years, she volunteered her time and talents as one of six founding board members who successfully built, organized and promoted the charter school, Renaissance Academy. She has professional and volunteer experience in office management, marketing, sales, event and speaker coordination, website copy and public speaking. She is an active member of Toastmaster’s International where she has earned various awards and enjoys speaking to a variety of audiences. Trina specializes in identifying and developing strategic relationships with potential clients while maintaining existing client business. She continues to seek knowledge through networking, reading and participating in trainings such as Dr. Jeffrey Magee’s ProSpeakerBIZ courses, etc.
Elizabeth brings nearly five years of public relations and marketing experience to the table for Snapp Conner PR from her work with a variety of technology clients and privately owned corporations. Elizabeth received her bachelor’s degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a master’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communication from Lasell College in Newton, Mass.
Steven Jenkins graduated from Utah Valley University in communications. He spent his time there writing for the school paper and being involved with multiple campaigns for the school and local companies, which helped him get a solid basis for public relations practices. He helped contribute to his local PRSSA chapter by being part of the UVU PRSSA Executive Board the year they earned the 2013 Outstanding Chapter Award at that year’s PRSSA National Conference.
W. Craig Snapp is a graduate of Utah Valley University where he worked extensively as editor and contributor to various academic journals, most notably as Editor-in-Chief of the Spring 2013 issue of Touchstones. Through 2011, Craig was writer and editor for Vacation Roost, where he managed content and SEO for more than 20 of the company’s travel and hospitality sites. He has previously worked as a PR Associate for Snapp Conner PR and for Snapp Norris Group. His ability to quickly absorb new design principles and publishing techniques, as well as his experience as an editor and writer, allows him to adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of digital content to produce timely and polished results.
