Cheryl Snapp Conner, founder and managing partner of Snapp Conner PR, has more than 22 years of experience in public relations for leading technology firms. Snapp Conner has led four successful tech PR agencies since 1989, and has been recognized as one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch. She is a trustee of the Utah Technology Council (UTC) and had directed the UTC Communications Committee since 2004. Snapp Conner has directed strategic PR programs for companies ranging from Novell to Lexmark to Altiris, Inc. Most recently, prior to founding Snapp Conner PR in April 2007, she co-founded Snapp Norris Group in December 2002 and assisted that company in becoming one of the nation’s top 20 mid-sized PR agencies in the U.S.

Jeremy Kartchner, Partner at Snapp Conner PR has more than 10 years experience in both technology and sports PR. Kartchner has launched a variety of companies to market including, Silex Technology America, Bountiful WiFi, Family First Federal Credit Union and Broadcast International. Kartchner joined Snapp Conner PR from the Snapp Norris Group where he was PR Director. Prior experience includes PR consulting work for Digital Video Networks Inc., a technology start-up company based out of Salt Lake City as well as a PR Manager with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 where he coordinated Mitt Romney’s media briefings and oversaw all media aspects for a number of functions including the Olympic Village, the budget and finance department, transportation, and the weather forecasting functions.

Clayton Blackham, Partner at Snapp Conner PR has an extensive knowledge in technology and sports public relations. His experience ranges from working in the media to directing and executing public relations programs and initiatives on both the agency and corporate level. Clayton has been responsible for a variety of company and product launches including Sharp Analytics, Shade Clothing and T-Splines; having secured top-tier coverage for his clients in both their targeted, horizontal and vertical media. While the majority of his background is in the technology sector, Clayton has executed media and community relations initiatives while working for the Utah Jazz PR department.

A. Cory Maloy, Senior Account Director, is a veteran PR professional with nearly 20 years experience developing public relations strategies for companies and executives in a variety of industries including technology, insurance, healthcare, consumer, and banking. He has guided the global public relations activities for companies around the world including Iomega Corporation, Maxtor, Travelers, MediConnect Global, ArtStamps, Cobalt Networks (Sun), Plantronics, GoodWorks Insurance, PodFitness, and silex Technology to name a few. He specializes in C-level communications coaching and counseling, long-term strategic PR program development, global PR expansion, investor relations communications, company and product launches, IPO communications, crisis communications, media training, and media relations and outreach.

Kaneko joins the Snapp Conner PR team from Richter7, where she was a public relations account manager and worked with clients such as ShieldZone, Vantage Legrand, O’Currance Teleservices, Dairy Farmers of Utah and Newpark Resort.

Don Osmond 2008Don Osmond
Senior Associate

Osmond joined Snapp Conner PR from GCI Group New York where he worked as an account executive specializing in technology/corporate accounts. At GCI, Osmond served as a key member of the Dell and Capgemini accounts focusing on media relations and executive positioning. Prior experience also includes work as a public relations associate for SNG PR working with clients such as Senforce, Corda Technologies and Silex Biometrics. Osmond has successfully directed accounts through product launches, IPOs, corporate re-brands and crisis management. Osmond brings with him an exceptional portfolio including various press releases, case studies and contributed articles.

Matt Stubbs 2008 Matt Stubbs
Senior Associate

Stubbs comes from a background of broadcast media spanning both television and radio. He has worked as a television camera operator, news producer and technical director. His career in radio has taken him from local reporting to a high profile internship in New York City with the nation’s number 1 all news radio station. Most recently Stubbs worked at KSL Radio as the Executive Producer of The Nightside Project. Under his direction the show moved to a number 1 slot at night and became nationally syndicated in Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Seattle and Washington DC.

Heath comes to Snapp Conner with a diverse PR background ranging from the Salt Lake City Mayor’s office to FranklinCovey. His experience has included implementing an anti-sexual violence campaign for Salt Lake City and writing for the LDS Church’s Newsroom Website. Prior experience also includes working in protective operations for the LDS Church.

Kenny Caldwell 2008 Kenny Caldwell

Caldwell recently graduated from Utah State University with a BS Degree in Journalism/Communications with a PR emphasis and a minor in Human Resource Management. While at USU, he worked on public relations campaigns with AirLaunch LLC.

Josh BerndtJosh Berndt
PR Associate

Josh Berndt is a former member of the media himself, working as a sports and news anchor, a co-host on a morning radio show, calling play-by-play for minor league baseball and as a beat reporter covering women’s basketball. He has won several awards for his work in the media, including Best Sports Talk Show and Best Play-By-Play. Most recently Berndt worked with Datamark as a Marketing Assistant planning and supporting marketing and communication initiatives at colleges and universities around the country.

Brittany Snapp
Junior PR Associate

Brittany Snapp is a Junior PR Associate and has recently graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She joined Snapp Conner PR in 2008 and now provides strategic PR support on accounts such as SilverLeaf and SISEL.

Vic ConnerVic Conner
Co-Founder and Financial Director

Vic Conner holds a bachelors’ degree in business finance. Prior to becoming Snapp Conner PR’s Financial Director, he served as an Investment Consultant for Everen Securities and as a Financial Advisor at Prudential Securities. Most recently, he served as a Financial Coach for True North Academy in American Fork.
