– PR Professionals Will Be Driving Force in Clients’ Success and in Growing and Creating New Business Opportunities –
May 1, 2007, Salt Lake City—When you’re the best, you won’t settle for anything less than the best. Today, Snapp Conner PR announced the addition of four of the best to its growing team, Clayton Blackham, Jeremy Kartchner, Craig Snapp and Josh Berndt.
“We are delighted to add Clay, Jeremy, Craig and Josh to our growing team of PR professionals,” said Cheryl Snapp Conner, Managing Partner at Snapp Conner PR. “Their diverse backgrounds, experience and knowledge of the technology industry will add value to the clients they serve.”
Blackham joins Snapp Conner PR from the Snapp Norris Group where he displayed a keen knack for securing big hits in Tier 1 publications. Blackham has directed a number of technology accounts including ContentWatch and Sharp Analytics, as well as consumer accounts such as Shade Clothing. Through his leadership, clients have seen significant increases in the amount of traffic on their Web sites and have been able to meet their goals, including one client being acquired. Prior experience includes two seasons working in the Utah Jazz PR department, working with local, national and international media on game nights during the season as well as during the offseason, developing human interest stories, features and profiles on key Utah Jazz and Larry H. Miller Corporation executives.
Kartchner has more than 10 years experience in both technology and sports PR and in his career has assisted in taking a variety of companies to market including silex technology america, Bountiful WiFi and Family First Federal Credit Union. Kartchner joined Snapp Conner PR from the Snapp Norris Group where he was PR Director. Prior experience also includes PR consulting work for Digital Video Networks Inc., a technology start-up company based in Salt Lake City, as well as serving as a PR Manager with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002. In that position he coordinated Mitt Romney’s media briefings and oversaw all media aspects for a number of functions including the Olympic Village, the budget and finance department, transportation, and weather forecasting functions.
Snapp was previously with the Snapp Norris Group where he displayed a fine eye for detail that enabled him to find new and unique opportunities to secure coverage for new and existing products as well as establish companies and executives as thought leaders in their respective industries. Snapp brings a strong creative, artistic and writing background, coupled with a strong understanding of new public relations techniques such as blogging and search engine optimization that will allow him to explore and create new opportunities for existing and potential clients.
Berndt is a former member of the media himself, working as a sports and news anchor, a co-host on a morning radio show, calling play-by-play for minor league baseball and as a beat reporter covering women’s basketball. He has won several awards for his work in the media, including Best Sports Talk Show and Best Play-By-Play. Most recently Berndt worked with Datamark as a Marketing Assistant planning and supporting marketing and communication initiatives at colleges and universities around the country.
The new Snapp Conner PR team members will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic public relations programs for existing and new clients. Additional responsibilities include developing new business opportunities and helping the agency grow and meet key strategic goals.
